ECC approves Rs 4.37 billion and grants for several projects for Gilgit-Baltistan

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved the release of Rs 4.377 billion for Gilgit-Baltistan’s expenditure and priority projects.
The meeting chaired by Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb approved the following important grants:
- Rs 7.263 billion for Sustainable Development Goals Program
- Rs 10.15 billion for Pakistan Navy’s Hangor Project
- Rs 692.9 million for security arrangements for Islamabad talks
- Rs 241 million for Imambargah Khadijatul Kubra blast victims
- Rs 1.8837 billion for Islamabad Safe City Expansion Project
- Rs 413.9 million for security expenses of Rekodiq Project
- Rs 183.5 million for installation of telecom towers in Gilgit-Baltistan
- Rs 8.7589 billion for Karachi and Hyderabad Urban Infrastructure Packages
The ECC also approved the budget honorarium policy, operational activities of Engrovopic Terminal Limited, syndicated financing facility of PSO and other important matters.
All these grants have been approved before the new fiscal year budget.
