The government has increased the price of petrol and diesel again and the new price will be applicable from August 14.
A notification issued by the Ministry of Energy said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has determined the new prices based on the government’s methodology for changing the prices of petroleum products.
The government has increased the price of petrol by 45 paise per liter to Rs 325.43 per liter, while the price was set at Rs 324.98 per liter yesterday.
Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 1.16 per liter, the new price of diesel has become Rs 383.95.
The notification said that the new prices of petroleum products will be applicable from August 14, 2026.
It should be remembered that the government had reduced the price of petrol by 94 paise yesterday and increased the price of high-speed diesel by 54 paise, after which the price of diesel for the previous day was set at Rs. 382.79 paise.
