Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan out of domestic cricket

Two of Pakistan’s top cricketers, Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan, will not be able to represent their teams in the first round of the President’s Trophy Grade One. According to sources, both players did not take the fitness test, due to which their fitness reports could not be submitted to the PCB.
Under PCB rules, it is mandatory for players participating in first-class cricket to submit fitness test reports. The board has not received the fitness reports of Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan from their respective departments, after which both of them have stopped playing domestic cricket.
Important responsibilities affected in the President’s Trophy
The President’s Trophy is going to start tomorrow in Pindi, Islamabad, Abbottabad and Peshawar. Imam-ul-Haq was supposed to play a match against PTV while leading OGDCL, while in the absence of Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan was supposed to captain the Sui Gas team in the first round.
Due to the issue related to the fitness test, both players have now been removed from these responsibilities.
Questions on central contracts
The issue of the two cricketers being excluded from domestic cricket has come to light at a time when an inquiry is also underway regarding them. This situation has also raised questions regarding the future of Imam-ul-Haq and Muhammad Rizwan.
The PCB has made it mandatory for all cricketers to play at least five matches each in domestic cricket. Due to the current situation, it is also looking difficult for Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq to maintain their central contracts.
