SECP establishes special desk for corporate debt market

SECP has set up a special desk for the corporate debt market.
The special desk will facilitate companies and market participants in the issuance of corporate debt securities.

The Corporate Debt Market Desk will provide guidance in the issuance of bonds, sukuk, public offerings and private placements.

The special desk was set up on the directions of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.

SECP Chairman Dr. Kabir Sidhu said that by making the issuance of debt securities easier, faster and less costly, the promotion of the corporate debt market will create sources of long-term financing.
