Nationwide strike of goods transporters continues for second day, talks to be held tomorrow

The goods transporter's wheel jam strike continued for the second day on Sunday, and negotiations will be held with the federal and Sindh governments tomorrow, Monday.

In a statement, President of the All Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance Malik Shahzad Awan said that our nationwide strike continues for the second day on Sunday. Transporters across Pakistan are on strike. Negotiations will be held with the federal government and Sindh government tomorrow, Monday.

He said that Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, representatives of the Ministry of Ports and Shipping, Finance and Petroleum will be present in the negotiations. I want to tell the federal government and provincial governments that we will not end the strike just on assurances. We were misrepresented during our nationwide strike in December. Our nationwide strike will continue until our demands are approved.

Negotiations between oil tanker owners and the Petroleum Minister will also be held tomorrow.

In this regard, the Petroleum Minister has called the Oil Tankers Contractors Association to Islamabad on Monday for a meeting.

According to Abidullah Afridi, President of the Oil Tankers Contractors Association, we will meet the Federal Minister of Petroleum with a four-member delegation. The meeting with the Federal Minister of Petroleum will be held on Monday at 5 pm. If our demands are accepted in the meeting, an announcement will be made after the meeting. If the demands are not accepted in the meeting, a strike will be announced.
