Remittances reach $3.6 billion in July; PM pays tribute to overseas Pakistanis

The country’s remittances have recorded a significant increase, for which the Prime Minister has paid tribute to overseas Pakistanis.
According to the data available in this regard, workers’ remittances in July 2026 amounted to US$ 3.6 billion. In terms of growth, remittances have increased by 13.0 percent year-on-year and 4.5 percent month-on-month.
The majority of the remittances received in July 2026 came from Saudi Arabia ($ 913.9 million), followed by the United Arab Emirates ($ 737.3 million), the United Kingdom ($ 555.5 million) and the United States ($ 317.2 million).
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis in July 2026 of $ 3.6 billion.
The Prime Minister said that in July 2026, remittances from overseas Pakistanis increased by 13 percent on a year-on-year basis, which is very welcome.
He said that in July 2026, remittances from overseas Pakistanis also increased by 4.5 percent on a month-on-month basis. He commended the continued positive role of overseas Pakistanis in the stability and development of the country’s economy. The Prime Minister said that overseas Pakistanis are a valuable part of the national economic mainstream. He paid tribute to overseas Pakistanis who have continuously played their positive role in the country’s economy through remittances.
