Provincial Education Minister orders closure of all educational institutions till August 24

Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has ordered all educational institutions to remain closed until August 24 and issued a stern warning to the administration for opening them prematurely.

The Punjab Provincial Education Minister has clarified that schools in Punjab were not allowed to open before August 24. According to Rana Sikandar Hayat, permission was given to set up one-month learning camps to compensate for the educational loss of students, which were aimed at compensating for the loss of learning of students.

The Provincial Education Minister said that the purpose of the learning camps was not to start the regular academic year but to compensate for the educational loss suffered by students. He clarified that there is no truth in the news circulating about the start of classes before August 24.

He said that the school administration should fully comply with the government orders and students should be provided with the prescribed period of summer vacation.

He directed the school owners and administration to strictly follow the schedule issued by the government and not to start regular teaching activities before August 24.

The Punjab government has also warned parents and students not to pay attention to unconfirmed reports regarding the reopening of schools and to consider only the official schedule issued by the government as final.
