Diesel cheaper, petrol costlier from September 22: OGRA announces

OGRA has announced adjustments to the ex-depot prices of petroleum products for September 22, 2026, in accordance with the government's petroleum pricing mechanism.
The price of High-Speed Diesel has been reduced by Rs1.96 per liter, setting the new rate at Rs422.08 per liter. Conversely, the price of petrol has increased by Rs4.61 per liter, bringing it to Rs393.75 per liter.
According to the notification issued by OGRA, these prices are linked to the rates of petrol and diesel in the global market. The statement notes that the price adjustments take into account fluctuations in the international market, freight rates, premiums, and other associated costs.
