Media ban imposed on Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Rizwan

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has barred national cricketer Mohammad Rizwan from speaking to the media. According to sources, the PCB withheld permission because a matter concerning Rizwan is currently under investigation by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
Mohammad Rizwan wished to share his stance and details regarding a letter sent to the ICC with the media. Sources indicate that he intended to speak under Clause 16 of the central contract, while adhering to the provisions of Clause 4.1.
Clause 4.1 of the central contract prohibits players from making public statements without PCB authorization, whereas Clause 16 addresses mutual cooperation between the board and the player.
Mohammad Rizwan is already facing various restrictions imposed by the PCB. He was among the players recalled to Pakistan following defeats in two Test matches during the tour of England.
Subsequently, the PCB confiscated the mobile phones of Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, which were later handed over to the NCCIA. Both cricketers were also barred from participating in domestic cricket.
