Sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 in South Korea have seen an increase of approximately 10% following the announcement of Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the "iPhone Duo."
According to sources in the ICT industry, sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 rose by 10% in the week following Apple's September 9 announcement of its first foldable iPhone, compared to the preceding week.
Industry sources suggest that some consumers had postponed their decision to purchase a new foldable phone until Apple's device was unveiled. After the announcement of the iPhone Duo, some of these consumers opted to buy the Samsung phone.
While Apple's entry into the foldable phone market has certainly heightened consumer interest in the sector, the pricing and availability of devices from both companies are also influencing buyer decisions.
