You can now share up to 30 seconds of music in WhatsApp Status

WhatsApp has made a significant change to the music feature of Status updates, allowing longer duration of song clips. After the new feature, users will be able to add up to 30 seconds of music to their status.

Duration of music clip doubled

According to WhatsApp Beta Info, the current 15-second limit for sharing music in status is being increased to 30 seconds. This change will give users the opportunity to add a relatively long part of their favorite song with the status.

Status updates are a feature of WhatsApp that is used as an alternative to Instagram Stories. Earlier, only up to 15 seconds of a song could be selected for a status with music.

Status with image or music clip

Under the new option, the user will be able to select up to 30 seconds of a song with an image and share it on the status. Apart from this, there will be a facility to post the music clip directly as a status update.

This way, users adding music to status will have the opportunity to use a longer clip than before.
