Wasim Akram expresses concern over Imran Khan's health

Former Pakistani captain Wasim Akram, while mentioning his long-standing association with Imran Khan, has expressed concern about his current health. He says that political differences or issues are in their place, but the health of the former Prime Minister should not be compromised.

In an interview given to a foreign media organization, Wasim Akram said that he has not had any conversation with Imran Khan for the last three years, but he still considers him his friend and mentor.

According to Wasim Akram, Imran Khan has been one of the most important leaders in his cricket career and apart from politics, he also misses him as a friend.

The former captain also expressed concern over the government statements coming out regarding Imran Khan’s health. He said that he wants to know what the actual medical condition of the former Prime Minister in jail is.

In recent days, other personalities associated with cricket have also raised their voices on the issue of Imran Khan’s health. 22 former captains of the world have demanded that the Pakistani government ensure Imran Khan’s basic rights and necessary medical facilities.

Current Australian cricket team captain Pat Cummins has also expressed concern about Imran Khan's health.

Wasim Akram once again clarified that regardless of political issues, his personal attachment to Imran Khan remains intact and he misses his former captain, friend and leader.
