Pakistan qualified for the semi-finals of the Women's T20 Asia Cup by defeating Hong Kong by 72 runs. Spinner Nashruh Sindhu played a central role in the national team's victory in the match played in Dubai.

Earlier, the record for the best bowling for Pakistan in the Women's T20 Asia Cup was held by Umima Sohail, who took 5 wickets for 13 runs in the match against Sri Lanka in 2022.

Pakistan had previously suffered a defeat against India in the Asia Cup, while the national team had started its journey successfully by defeating Thailand in the opening match of the tournament.
