Abrar Ahmed becomes number one bowler in T20, Rashid Khan in second position

Pakistan's spinner Abrar Ahmed has achieved a major milestone in T20 cricket by overtaking Afghanistan's star spinner Rashid Khan to claim the top spot in the ICC T20 bowling rankings.

Abrar Ahmed is the fifth Pakistani bowler to secure the number one position in the global T20 bowling rankings; prior to him, Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal, Shahid Afridi, and Imad Wasim had also achieved this honor.

Rashid Khan had held the top spot in the T20 bowling rankings for the past six months but has now slipped to second place, trailing by a margin of one rating point.

Pakistan's Mohammad Nawaz remains in eighth place on the list of bowlers, while Salman Mirza has dropped one spot to 19th position.

Overton's massive 47-place leap

England's Jamie Overton made the most significant gains in the bowling rankings, climbing 47 places to reach a career-best sixth position.

England's Liam Dawson improved by 12 places to take the 11th spot, while India's Axar Patel also moved up 12 places to reach 15th position.

Sikandar Raza leads the all-rounders

Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza has retained the top spot in the T20 all-rounder rankings, while Pakistan's Saim Ayub holds the second position.

England's Will Jacks has climbed three places to secure the third position.
