WhatsApp introduces separate parental controls section for iPhone users

Instant messaging app WhatsApp has started rolling out a separate parental controls section for iPhone users, making it easier for parents to monitor and set restrictions on their children’s accounts.
WhatsApp’s parent-managed accounts allow parents or guardians to control who can contact their child and which groups they can join. They can also restrict access to certain features like channels and statuses.
Parents will also be able to see information about certain account activities, including new contacts, blocked users and profile changes.
The feature was previously available on Android through a separate ‘Parental Controls’ section.
The same section is now being rolled out to iOS. WhatsApp says this is for users who are under the minimum age to use the app in their country or region, although in some cases Apple may share the child’s age limit directly.
