Formal launch of family theater revival in Punjab under the supervision of Uzma Bukhari

Under the supervision of Provincial Information Minister Uzma Bukhari, the revival of modest, purposeful and family theater in Punjab has been formally launched.
In this regard, the "Friends of Seventeen" theater drama was presented in Al-Hamra. The drama was houseful in the first show and there was great interest from the public, while the hall echoed with laughter.
The strong story, effective plot and quality dialogues of the drama are being described as its prominent features. It beautifully depicts the social life, human relationships and domestic environment of the 70s.
Uzma Bukhari said that the revival of quality family theater in Punjab is the top priority of the government and the vision of the Chief Minister is to provide modest, quality and purposeful entertainment to the public.
She said that after a long time, Lahoreites have got the opportunity to watch family theater, while "Friends of Seventeen" is an attempt to enlighten the new generation with the social colors of the past.
She further said that such projects will continue to promote arts and cultural activities in Punjab and the aim of family theater is not only entertainment but also to give a positive and meaningful message.
The script of the play was written by Syed Anjum while the direction was given by Wasim Abbas. The cast included Honey Al Bella, Qaiser Piya, Ashraf Khan, Meher Chaudhry, Iman Noor, Usman Raj, Sheza Butt and Ahmed Mughal.
The play "Friends of Seventeen" was well attended by the public, the journalistic community and important figures associated with arts and entertainment, while it will be presented at Al Hamra till August 14.
