Mohammad Amir joins Trent Rockets for The Hundred 2026

Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been included in the Trent Rockets squad for The Hundred 2026.

The franchise announced on social media that Amir will replace English fast bowler David Paine, who was ruled out of the tournament due to injury.

In a statement, Trent Rockets also expressed their best wishes for David Paine’s speedy recovery.

Mohammad Amir also expressed his happiness at joining Trent Rockets by issuing a short message on social media platform X.

33-year-old Mohammad Amir has played 36 Tests, 61 ODIs and 62 T20 Internationals for Pakistan.

He also became a British citizen after obtaining a British passport last month.

He had previously represented London Spirit and Oval Invincibles in The Hundred, taking six wickets in eight matches.

On the other hand, Pakistani spinners Abrar Ahmed and Usman Tariq were also successful in the league auction.

Sunrisers Leeds have added Abrar Ahmed while Birmingham Phoenix have added Usman Tariq to their team.
