Motorola is also busy developing a wide foldable phone

The trend of wide-screen designs in foldable smartphones is growing, and now Motorola is also preparing to join the race. According to reports, the company is working on a new book-style foldable phone, the design of which will be based on the concept of a wide display.

Some alleged design sketches of this potential device have also surfaced, showing the phone with a relatively wide screen when opened. These sketches are apparently hand-drawn, but they can be used to estimate the overall design of the phone.

The sketches that have surfaced show a horizontal camera bar on the back of the phone. It will likely have a flash or additional sensor along with two camera lenses. The style of the camera bar looks similar to Google Pixel phones and its design may also help keep the phone more stable when placed on a table.

A punch-hole selfie camera has also been shown on the inner screen. However, there is no definitive information available yet regarding the final size, exact display dimensions, hardware, price and launch date of this foldable phone from Motorola.

If Motorola does indeed launch this device in the market, it will add another big name to the wide foldable phone category after Samsung and Huawei. On the other hand, with the arrival of Apple's possible foldable iPhone, competition in this sector is likely to become even tougher in the future.
