Babar Azam returns to top 10 of ICC Test batting rankings after two years

National Test cricket team captain Babar Azam was rewarded for his outstanding performance in the recent Test series against the West Indies.
According to the details, Babar Azam has made it back to the top 10 in the ICC Test Batting Rankings after a gap of two years.
In the Port of Spain Test, Pakistan defeated the West Indies by 8 wickets to level the two-match series 1-1.
Babar Azam scored 88 runs in the first innings of the match and an unbeaten 24 runs in the second innings.
Thanks to this performance, he has reached the 10th position in the rankings with an improvement of five places.
He had fallen out of the top 10 in September 2024, while he achieved a career-best second position during the home series against England in December 2022.
Abdullah Shafiq also made significant progress and has reached the 32nd position after improving by 25 places.
He won the Player of the Match award after playing unbeaten innings of 160 and 24 runs in the match. In the bowlers' rankings, West Indies' Joseph has reached 19th place, while Pakistani spinner Sajid Khan has reached 30th place.
