Babar Azam's participation in the first Test is now subject to medical clearance

Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam's participation in the first match of the 3-Test series against England has become conditional on the clearance of the medical team.

Babar Azam was hit on the finger by a ball during a practice match, after which he dropped the bat and appeared in pain, on which the medical team provided him with first aid.

This was the second incident of Babar Azam being hit on the hand by a ball in a month. Earlier, he was also hit on the hand during Pakistan's Test series against the West Indies.

According to fast bowler Mohammad Abbas, the final decision on Babar Azam's playing or not in the first Test match against England will be taken by the PCB medical team on the day of the match.

It should be noted that the first Test of the series between Pakistan and England will start in Leeds from August 19.
