Australia's star batsman Steve Smith has achieved a major feat in Test cricket.
Smith equalled the world record for most Test catches by taking three catches on the second day of the first Test against Bangladesh in Darwin.
Smith has taken his tally of catches to 218 in his 124th Test.
England's Joe Root is currently on the list with 218 catches in 166 Test matches.
Former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid is third with 210 catches, while former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene took 205 catches in 149 Tests.
Former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis is fifth on the list with 200 catches in 166 Tests.
The battle to retain this record will continue between Steve Smith, who is at the top position, and England captain Joe Root.
The Australian team is currently busy playing the first match of a two-Test series against Bangladesh, while the England team will begin a three-Test series against Pakistan from August 19.
